A Little More About Me

The two main things about me right now are:

1. I don't have a *clue* about blogs! I will attempt the profile, and later on attempt to add some color. Hope I don't ruin it. What I'll need is some patience, and I'll need that right now.

2. The most important thing about me these days is really this:

Specifically, I am a libertarian who believes that individual human beings are made in the image of God and each was conceived with a set of God-given rights. These rights are, briefly, to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness. This means economic and civil liberty. It also means very small government and an end to U.S. imperialism.

This advocacy of God-given individual rights and the fierce opposition to the Bush regime is probably the most important fuel and spark plug that gets me up in the morning and keeps me going all day. (That and a daily stint at the health club.)

It took a half-century to figure it out, but the reason God created me was to do whatever is in my power to promote liberty.

I am blessed with being able to retire early and have all my youthful vigor to promote liberty. Therefore, that is what I am trying to do.

Later on in the year, I hope by June, I will post to this blog a major project I am working on. The end of this project will, I hope, be to point out how the Republican Party (and the Democrat Party too) have gone totally against the great libertarian principles this country was founded upon, ending with the Bush policies which, I fear, will be the end of whatever freedom we currently have left. (I am active in the Libertarian Party myself, and staunchly supported Michael Badnarik for president.)

We have become a police state. It's getting worse. It might become like the old Soviet Union before we bottom out.

Once we bottom out, we can claw our way back to liberty.

Please spread the word about my Blog. I will be announcing its "coming out" just before I post the project. If you want to read the project in your e-mail, please let me know and I will add you to my e-mail list. You can e-mail me at .

Give me patience -- and hurry!

Well, it's been nearly five minutes and no one has bothered to comment yet.
I guess I might as well say something myself.
I have always been an independent woman, picking my beliefs and choices by my own standards.
As a result of independent thinking, I have chosen the Libertarian Party as my political vehicle.
Please accept this as an invitation for you to join, too.
I also urge you to visit, as often as you can, the site at and go at least daily to

The poet told us, "Try, try again ... then quit. No use being a fanatic about anything."
Well, my first attempt at a blog failed. Technical problems that I just don't understand.
Anyway, here is my second attempt.
If this doesn't work, then I'll just toss my computer into the trash.
Please do feel free to comment.
